Authentic Chinese cuisine meets sultry sophistication in Dubai Hills Business Park’s latest addition – Moli. Brought into existence by the creators of SHI, one of Bluewaters Island’s hottest spots for gourmet Asian delights, Moli promises something new for Chinese food enthusiasts. Combining exquisite flavours, luxurious ingredients and harmonious presentation, the new spot is bound to become a must-visit for locals and visitors alike.
As well as offering a unique blend of signature teas, mythology-inspired drinks and of course, an upscale menu like no other, the space alone makes a visit worthwhile. Fitted out by A&T Group Interiors, Moli by SHI features a plethora of distinctive design elements, including a crescent-shaped bar adorned by oriental vase display, space-enhancing pillars and an unmissable tiled ceiling. Dazzling in lucky red and gold, the restaurant’s décor is a sensory experience in itself – shimmering chandeliers and dragon-embellished curtains taking centre stage.
While at the restaurant, diners can choose from more intimate seating arrangements, or enjoy Moli’s extensive menu with their loved ones thanks to large circular tables and even a Lazy Susan, perfect for sharing. The interior design mimics the restaurant’s mission to combine five natural elements – wood, marble, water, fire and wind – embodying the Chinese ideology of balance and harmony.
The name Moli comes from the Mandarin word for Jasmine, a flower deeply entrenched in Chinese culture and one that plays a pivotal role in the restaurant’s experience. As well as being a key ingredient in their coveted mortality drink, the flower is also infused throughout the eatery’s selection of teas and dishes.
Chef Li heads the ship at Moli, renowned for his culinary prowess with experience working in Mumbai, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and of course, China. The menu’s main dish is Dim Sum (‘touch the heart’ in Chinese), a staple enjoyed across the world for over 2000 years. While steeped in tradition, Moli’s menu will also bring new and exciting flavours to the fore with a line of special sauces, packed with over 13 different ingredients.
A true celebration of East Asian culture in appearance, history and taste, Moli by SHI is certainly not one to miss.
